wild heart began with a simple idea.
When women spend time in nature, they come back to themselves.
Founded by two women who share a love of the outdoors, movement, and genuine connection, we create guided retreats and adventures across New Zealand for women ready to take a breath, step outside the noise, and do something just for themselves.

Hannah Rae
An engineer turned coach, creative, and lifelong lover of the outdoors, Hannah brings warmth, humour, and a steady kind of presence to Wild Heart. After a series of life changes in her early thirties, she swapped spreadsheets for coaching and storytelling - now guiding women to reconnect with nature, and with themselves.
Based in Manapōuri on the edge of Fiordland National Park, Hannah lives with her partner and three boisterous dogs, always within reach of the trail. She hosts The Wild Heart Podcast, sharing honest conversations about change, courage, and what matters. Most days you’ll find her with a hot coffee in hand, planning her next long walk.

Peta Adie
A creator, adventurer, and mum of two energetic boys, Peta brings strength, humour, and quiet determination to Wild Heart. She’s spent years exploring how movement, nature, and connection can shift the way women feel - in their bodies and in their lives.
After building five businesses and a life between Australia and New Zealand, Peta traded busyness for balance and found freedom in the mountains. She now channels that same courage into helping other women step into the outdoors with confidence and joy. Known for her steady leadership and down-to-earth approach, Peta reminds us that adventure isn’t about extremes — it’s about feeling alive again.

Wild Heart Values
What guides every Wild Heart journey - how we move, lead, and connect.
wild belonging
We believe the wild belongs to everyone - and everyone belongs in the wild. We create spaces where women feel safe, seen, and celebrated just as they are. No proving. No performing. No need to keep up. Out here, we return to ourselves.
We honour Papatūānuku - the natural world - as more than a backdrop. She’s part of the journey, offering reflection, restoration, and reverence along the way.
embodied aliveness
We lead from a place of vitality, not depletion. Joy, movement, emotion, and rest are sacred parts of being human. This isn’t about pushing through - it’s about feeling deeply alive.
Growth happens when we step outside the expected and into the unknown - supported and seen. Every retreat is a gentle rite of passage, grounded in awareness, nervous system care, and soulful challenge.
generative impact
We walk lightly - with care for people, planet, and place. Our experiences are designed to give back: nourishing participants, local communities, and the land itself.
We believe true adventure regenerates - it feeds those who take part and the places that make it possible.
sisterhood & sovereignty
We hold both shared journey and personal agency. Each woman brings her own wisdom, yet no one walks alone.
We trust the power of community - laughter, courage, and care - while honouring the freedom that comes from finding your own pace and path.
